We walk the property with you, measure grade changes, map mature live oaks and their critical root zones, check sightlines to lake or canyon views, and note how the deck needs to tie into the existing siding, trim, and roofline. You leave the visit with a clear sense of what is possible on your lot.
Design & Permit
We draft plans and elevations, finalize material choices for Texas heat (Western Red Cedar, ipe, capped polymer, or capped PVC), and prepare the package the City of Austin Development Services Department needs for residential deck permitting. If your home is in an HOA neighborhood, we handle architectural review at the same time.


Build
Our crew drills pier-and-beam foundations into the caliche or limestone, sets posts to engineered heights, frames each level, and lays the decking. We protect live oak root zones during construction and step the structure to follow the slope rather than fight it.
Finish & Punch List
We install railings, stairs, built-in benches, planters, and any hot tub framing, then seal or finish the deck as the material requires. Before we wrap, we walk the deck with you, write down anything that needs adjusting, and finish every item on the punch list before final sign-off.
