Spicewood Front Xeriscape

This Spicewood front yard was reimagined from the ground up as a water-wise landscape that brings as much visual interest as any traditional lawn ever could. The concrete driveway is flanked on both sides by symmetrical grids of large format cream pavers set into decomposed granite, creating a clean and welcoming approach to the home. A sweeping organic mulch bed curves across the main yard, anchored at its center by three circular gravel rings each framing a single sculptural agave, a simple grouping that reads with quiet confidence from the street. River rock and decomposed granite cover the remaining ground plane, with native boulders and young drought-tolerant plantings scattered throughout to soften the hardscape and add texture as the plants mature. White concrete edging defines every transition with precision, keeping the design crisp from every angle. The result is a front yard that requires almost nothing to maintain and gives back something worth looking at every single day.
