Design Consult
We walk the property with you, sketch picket profiles and gate elevations on the spot, talk through mixed-material options, and lock in heights that work for the view, the dog, the deer pressure, or the HOA. You leave with a clear design direction, not a generic catalog quote.
Survey & Permit
We pull your plat or order a fresh property survey, verify setbacks and sight-visibility triangles on corner lots, prepare the HOA submittal packet with elevations and stain color, and pull a City of Austin permit when the design crosses a height or zoning threshold. No work starts until every approval is in hand.
Build
Posts are drilled into caliche bedrock and set in concrete to spec. Cedar is hand-picked off the rack for grain and color, metal posts are plumbed before the wood goes on, and decorative gates are hung with self-closing hinges and pool-code magnetic latches where required. We clean the site at the end of every workday.
Stain & Seal
Once the wood has dried to the right moisture content, we stain and seal the entire fence in the color approved by you and your HOA. Sealing the cedar slows UV greying, protects against the Texas sun, and locks in the look you signed off on at the design consult. We walk the finished fence with you before final payment.

If a stock fence will not solve the problem, we design and build something that will.
Yes. We measure picket width, rail spacing, post profile, cap detail, and stain color so the new run reads as a continuation of what is already there. This is common on shared property lines in Westlake, Tarrytown, and older Austin neighborhoods where mismatched runs stand out.
We build cedar pickets onto steel or powder-coated metal posts, combine board-on-board panels with stone or stucco columns, and pair horizontal cedar with metal accent panels. Metal posts are set deeper in concrete to carry the wood, and we use galvanized hardware so dissimilar metals do not corrode against the cedar.
City of Austin Development Services generally exempts residential fences under 7 ft from a permit, but anything taller, anything in a front-yard setback, anything on a corner lot near a sight-visibility triangle, or anything in a historic district usually does require review. We pull the permit when one is needed and handle the submittal.
Yes. We have built in Steiner Ranch, Lakeway, Westlake, and other Austin HOAs with strict dimensional standards. We pull the current architectural guidelines, draft a submittal packet with elevations, materials, and stain color, and revise once if the committee asks for changes. We do not break ground until the approval letter is in hand.
Caliche bedrock often sits at 12 to 18 inches across west Travis County, so a standard post-hole digger will not reach proper depth. We drill into the rock with rock augers and rotary hammers, then set posts in concrete to spec. We quote bedrock drilling separately so the price is honest before we start.
Any custom gate on a property with a pool is built to Texas pool-barrier requirements: self-closing hinges, a self-latching mechanism set at least 54 inches above grade, and no openings a 4-inch sphere can pass through. Magnetic latches are our default for new pool gates because they hold up to Hill Country weather.
