Rosanky New Construction Xeriscape

This new construction home by Dumbeck Custom Homes needed to be properly dressed before the new owners could move in. We installed a Texas native, drought tolerant, low maintenance xeriscape that wraps the entire front elevation and lets the architecture do the talking. Crushed limestone gravel beds run the full length of the house, planted with hardy natives chosen to hold their shape and color through a Central Texas summer, and every bed is separated from the lawn by custom welded steel edging fabricated to follow the curves of the design without a single visible seam. A dry river rock panel frames the concrete slab walkway at the entry, giving the front door a clean and deliberate approach. Drip irrigation runs beneath the gravel so every plant gets water at the root instead of into the air, and a fresh zoysia lawn was laid to carry the green out to the drive. Low voltage landscape lighting tops it off, with path lights tracing the walkway and uplights washing the stone columns and gables so the house looks just as good at dusk as it does at noon.
